District Meetings and Interviews

"The future of this world has long been DECLARED; the final outcome between GOOD and evel is already KNOWN. There is absolutely no question as to who WINS because the VICTORY has already been posted on the SCOREBOARD> The only really strange thing in all of this is that we are still down here on the FIELD trying to decide which TEAM'S JERSEY we want to wear!"
-Elder Jeffrey R. Holland-
Sister Lavea, Elder Nuualuga, Elder Langkilde, Elder Ebel, Elder Lelenoa and Sister Teaeki serving in the Flaxmere District (Elder and Sister Farnes were in interviews.)
Everyone in the mission turned in their old credit cards and received new ones. Hopefully no problems. Is anyone starving?

After district meeting in Dannevirke all of the Elders went finding to help out the sisters. As you can see it is rather warm in New Zealand these days.
Happy Birthday Sister Matwaychuk! (And Sister Hadlock) Sister Beckstead made cupcakes to celebrate the occasion. They were yummy!
Taranaki District - President Kezerian, Elder Levy, Elder Raihauti, Elder Crawford, Elder Nyfeler, Elder Pasa, Elder Tokoara, Sister Hirschi, Elder McKenna and Elder Hirschi. We all missed Elder Ames but visited him after District Meeting.
Beautiful New Zealand along the Tasman Sea shoreline.

"Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha" (2 Kings 6:16-17).
In the gospel of Jesus Christ you have help from both sides of the veil, and you must never forget that.  When disappointment and discouragement strike--and they will--you remember and never forget that if our eyes could be opened we would see horses and chariots of fire as far as the eye can see riding at reckless speed to come to our protection. They will always be there, these armies of heaven, in defence of Abraham's seed."

Have I Done Any Good in the World Today?

"Have I done any good in the world today? Have I helped anyone in need?" What a formula for happiness! What a prescription for contentment, for inner peace. . . . . There are hearts to gladden. There are kind words to say. There are gifts to be given. There are deeds to be done. There are souls to be saved."

Hard at work removing rocks and grass from a side garden so sod can be put in.
A dear Brother in his 80's lost his eye sight from glaucoma about 90 days ago. He and his wife had been working to clear this garden for the past two weeks making slow progress.
The missionaries happily pitched in and completed the whole project in less than 2 hours.
