Wellington Zone Conference. 

We had Elder and Sister Burton with us during our North Island Zone Conferences and they gave us good advice for eating healthy. Elder Finlinson is putting it into practice already.

Our newest missionaries, Elder and Sister Hadlock who will be serving in Dannevirke. They served in this very mission and couldn't get enough. They're back to take up where they left off. Welcome!!

 We just had to show the Burton's the lovely Tamaki Chapel and all the history it contains. Having served his mission in New Zealand, this was a treat for Elder Burton.

Elder Farns celebrated his birthday on Zone Conference Day. The Farns are so involved in two stakes and with all the missionaries in their area. I don't know how anyone would survive without them.

Service Abounds Around the Mission

 They grow kiwi very large here in New Zealand.

 Elder and Sister Patchett (Sister Patchett must be hiding) are always helping the missionaries out along with their duties in Foxton Branch. Elder Patchett is the Branch President. Sister Melota with only a few days left in the mission.

 The Title of Liberty. In this case the missionaries were battling garbage that had accumulated on the Himatangi Beach and on the streets in the Manawatu District. The Palmerston North Stake organized the clean up efforts.

 The Flaxmere Stake organized members and missionaries in a project to beautify and maintain a local nursing home.

Besides having fun, everyone helped plant flowers, weed and paint the facility.

Memories

 My how time flies. They were just in the MTC in Provo, Utah and now Elder Strasser is a District Leader, Elder Florian is serving in the office and Elder Greer is a District Leader and Trainer.

 This is a scene we haven't seen for three months now. All of our missionaries from the United States are serving in other missions while we are waiting for their visas to be approved. With such long delays some have been permanently reassigned. We are all praying that we can get this problem resolved soon.

 I couldn't resist a few scenes from Utah. We have a picture of Mount Timpanogas hanging in the Mission Home. It was given to us by our Stake back home and brings fond memories to mind every time we see it.

The Provo Temple situated right at the mouth of Rock Canyon can be seen from our home in Orem. The Provo Temple is one of the busiest in the world since it serves the Provo MTC too.

 We keep this airline in business.

Service in Westport

 This was the last District Meeting for Elder Robinson before he returned home so Sister Turner made a cake for him.  She turned her back and the cake was gone! Missionaries are so hungry. The Nelson District had a service project after their District Meeting on February 21st. A sister in the Westport Branch who lives in Karamea, had asked for help to clear the road that leads up to her home. She lives alone high up on a mountain and is about 1 1/2 hours from Westport. The bushes were over  grown and branches were scraping her car. This road was about a mile long.

The missionaries brought machetes from a Tongan member in Greymouth and were prepared to use them. All the Elders and Elder and Sister Turner were so helpful and worked so hard! Go Missionaries!!

 The Elders were also able to repair her water pump so water could flow into the home (Elder Willson and Elder Turner) and fix her weed eater. (Thanks to elder Teaupa)

The VanDenBosch's back in Westport had a hot meal for everyone later in the day.
